Introducing Highland & Menlo: a boutique collection of artisanal provisions! This line debuts with a niche selection of caviar that we bring you direct from some of our favorite purveyors.
Though the product line is new, our parent company – Inland –established itself as a key seafood distributor in the disco era. (The 1970’s, baby, yeah!) Our story began in 1977 when our founder, a young Joel Knox, returned to his Atlanta roots after a successful stint as a food writer in the Pacific Northwest. He longed for the bounty of the ocean he had enjoyed on the West Coast and launched Inland Seafood out of a small retail space on Highland Avenue. Today you will find us still hand-packing our products with care, notably including the coveted caviar we pack at our facility on Menlo Drive. We have come a long way since Inland first opened on Highland Avenue; our now 100% employee-owned company is known as one of the largest distributors of quality sustainable seafood, meat, poultry and specialty products in the southeast.
Inland’s dedicated team of chefs and food enthusiasts continue to shape the ethos of this ever-evolving organization! While we are always looking forward, do so without losing sight of our roots.
